GoburGobur

Cocksfoot

Gobur cocksfoot is a locally bred cross between Yarck and Currie cocksfoot which exhibits the best characteristics of both types; that being excellent winter growth, soft palatable leaves, can respond and grow better than Currie with summer rain, and moderate summer dormancy which gives excellent persistence in areas with hot dry summers. As is the case with Yarck, Gobur was bred to have vigorous seedlings enhancing fast establishment. Gobur is very productive and leafy and provides soft palatable foliage. Gobur is an early to medium flowering cocksfoot which is ideal for areas with a short to medium growing season with low summer rainfall.
